On Stage at Park City’s Premier Ski Resort, Park City, Utah
The stage is set at the Black Powder Festival. Finalists from across the country will battle it out for the $10,000 Grand Prize while we also give back to the community with a $5,000 contribution to the National Brotherhood of Snow Sports Scholarship Fund — supporting the next generation of Black skiers and snowboarders.

The Black Diamond Originals Talent Competition is more than a stage — it’s a platform for impact. Each year, we will contribute $5,000 to the National Brotherhood of Snow sports (NBS) Scholarship Fund, creating opportunities for young people to explore skiing and snowboarding. This partnership reflects our commitment to both artistry on stage and legacy on the slopes.

The Road to Becoming a Black Diamond Original
The Breakthrough (Top 100)
Our judges review all submissions and select the Top 100 Originals based on creativity, songwriting, and vocal performance.
The Cut (Top 40)
The Top 100 are narrowed down to the Top 40 Artists, whose videos will be featured across BDO social platforms for community engagement and exposure.
The Elite 8
The final Elite 8 are invited to perform live on stage at The Black Diamond Originals during the Black Powder Festival in Park City, Utah.
