YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, we’ve gathered all the essentials—tickets, lodging, and what to expect—so you can skip the stress and focus on the fun.
What does the festival theme M.O.V.E. mean?
M.O.V.E. is about taking action with intention: start with the right Mindset, Own your path, Value your voice, and Execute with purpose.
What is the Black Powder Festival?
The Black Powder Festival (BPF) is an inaugural, multi-day winter culture experience that brings together snow sports, community, and lifestyle in Park City, Utah. The festival blends on-mountain experiences—such as skiing, snowboarding, and tubing—with curated off-slope moments designed to foster connection, culture and good vibes.
When and where does the festival take place?
The inaugural Black Powder Festival will be held December 10–13, 2026, in Park City, Utah — one of North America’s most renowned ski destinations.
Who is the festival for?
BPF is for anyone who loves culture, music, and the mountains, even if you don't ski — from seasoned skiers to first-timers. Expect an energetic, diverse, and upscale crowd of travelers, creators, and tastemakers.
What events are part of the festival?
The Black Powder Festival is a multi-day experience that blends on-mountain activities with off-slope social events. During the day, attendees can ski or snowboard through group outings, private lessons, and dedicated options for first-time participants. Evenings move off the mountain, starting with a Welcome Mixer featuring music, line dancing, and karaoke. Other nighttime experiences include Casino Night and optional night tubing (additional fee). One of the festival’s signature social events is Jamapalooza—a pajama-themed party with a live band and DJ, created for easygoing fun and connection after a full day on the slopes. A detailed schedule will be shared closer to the event, with activities planned across each day of the festival.
How can I purchase tickets?
While on our website, www.theblackpowderfestival.com, select About Events and click on the Black Powder Festival.
Are tickets refundable or transferable?
Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another guest before the check-in deadline.
What does my ticket include?
Each pass includes access to official BPF events, performances, and mixers. VIP tickets offer additional benefits like priority entry, reserved seating, and exclusive sponsor activations.
Do I need to be an experienced skier or snowboarder to attend?
Not at all! Many guests come for the music, culture, and atmosphere — not just the slopes. Non-skiers can enjoy Casino Night, live performances, mixers, and après-ski parties. Beginner-friendly “Never Ever” packages and private lessons will also be available through our resort partners.
Where should I stay during the festival?
The Grand Summit at Park City is the official hotel partner for the Black Powder Festival and the most convenient place to stay during the event. The Grand Summit is offering discounted room rates for all festival attendees, with guest suites available on a first-come, first-served basis—so booking early is strongly encouraged. All festival events take place at the Grand Summit, making it the easiest option for lodging, access to programming, and on-mountain activities. Once tickets are purchased, attendees will receive details on how to book at the special BPF rates through the Plan Your Trip section of the festival website. Pro tip: Park City fills up quickly during festival week—secure your room as early as possible.
What should I wear to the festival?
Think mountain chic meets après-ski glam. Pack stylish winter wear, insulated layers, snow boots, and outfits for nightlife and indoor events. To rep your Black Powder visit www.theblackpowdermovement.com for the latest drop!
How can brands or sponsors get involved?
